Frankie's Friends Auction Fundraiser

Frankie's Friends is hosting an Auction Fundraiser on September 29, 2017 to benefit Charlestown Youth Hockey.  The fundraiser will be held at the Knight of Columbus in Charlestown and doors open at 7pm. Tickets are $25.  There are live and silent auctions items, raffles, 50/50 and disco music.  Signed items from: Patrice Bergeron, Zdeno Chara, Kevin Hayes, Scott Hartnell, Torey Krug, Brad Marchand, Chris Nilan, Tuukka Rask, Martin St. Louis, Keith Tkachuk, Joe Thornton & Jimmy Vesey.  There are plenty of raffle prizes up for grab generously donated by local businesses and friends.

Art in the Park returns to Charlestown's City Square Park on Saturday, September 9, 2017, 10am-5:30pm. (Rain date Sunday, Seeptember 10.)  This annual art fair welcome local and regional artists and crafts people for a day  to browse and buy. See one of a kind art, ceramics, jewelry and glass in Charlestown's own historic and beautiful City Square Park. No admission charge and wonderful food, snacks and beverages are near by.

Washington Monthly Names BHCC Among Best Colleges for Adult Learners

BOSTON, August 30, 2017 — Bunker Hill Community College (BHCC) was named one of “The Twelve Most Innovative Colleges for Adult Learners” by Washington Monthly. The article appeared within the publication’s 2017-2018 College Rankings, an annual report released as the September/October 2017 issue.

Just breaking the top 50, the College ranked 49 nationally among the publication’s ranking of “Best Colleges for Adults Learners,” but it was BHCC’s holistic approach to serving the needs of its students that caught the attention of reporter Joshua Alvarez.

Bunker Hill Community College Alumnus to play NCAA Division I Basketball for Alabama State University

BOSTON, August 12, 2017 Bunker Hill Community College (BHCC) announces 2017 alumnus and 2016 All-American Fredens Deneus to sign a letter of intent to play for the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I Alabama State University (ASU) Hornets for the 2017-2018 season.

The signing will take place on Monday, August 14, at 3 p.m., in BHCC’s Gymnasium.

Youth Soccer Clinic for Children with Disabilities

Massachusetts General Hospital and Spaulding are joining forces with the New England Revolution and we want you to score a goal with us! Sign up for our annual Soccer Clinic for Children with Disabilities in the Empower Field House, Tuesday, August, 22nd 5pm to 7 pm. 

New England Revolution Academy coaches, assisted by available New England Revolution players, will be on hand to provide instructional skills drills, sportsmanship and fun! 


Bunker Hill Community College Awarded $100,000 for C-Town Business Pathways Program

Bunker Hill Community College (BHCC) received a $100,000 grant from Cummings Foundation’s $100K for 100 program in support of the C-Town Business Pathways program.

A pilot program for students at Charlestown High School, the C-Town Business Pathways Program is a collaboration between BHCC, BUILD, Charlestown High and the Boston Private Industry Council. The program provides high school students the opportunity to earn up to 30 college credits–at no cost to the student–toward an associate degree in business.
