Program Overview:

Established in 1992, the Smart Choices Program is designed to strengthen the capacity of agencies located in Charlestown to meet the health and human service needs of the community. Over $4.5 million dollars has been invested in the community since its inception.  

The goal of Smart Choices is to help community based organizations address the health priorities of the community and to work together to increase their impact and reach.

BHCC Early College Programs Receive Preliminary Designation Status from Baker-Polito Administration Along with a $10K Planning Grant for Program at Charlestown High School

On Tuesday, January 23, 2018, the Baker-Polito Administration announced “preliminary” designation status to 21 early college programs across Massachusetts and awarded more than $80,000 in grants to public colleges, universities and high schools in the midst of developing early college programs.

Early college programs combine traditional high school courses with the opportunity to earn college credit, making college more accessible and affordable to low-income students.
