Friends of City Square Park's Annual Paul Revere Ride

Friends of City Square Park announce the Annual Paul Revere Ride on Monday, April 15, 2019!

Please arrive by 9:45am; Paul Revere rides in at 10am!

See Paul Revere and his horse, Brown Betty, arrive from Boston and pause in City Square Park on his way to Lexington and Concord. 

Enjoy a reading of Longfellow's poem by Tom Coots, (acting as Deacon Larkin who gave Paul Revere his horse) along with a children's bike parade. 


Fall Festival honoring City Councilor Sal LaMattina

Update: Mayor Walsh will be visting the event at 11:00 am on Sunday morning.


Join the Friends of the Charlestown Navy Yard and Charlestown Chamber of Commerce as we honor City Councilor Sal LaMattina for his work representing Charlestown on the Boston City Council.


We will have a big screen viewing of the Patriots game and activities for children. 

Light refreshments will be available.

Wednesday, May 22nd from 5:30pm to 7:00pm. The Charlestown Boys and Girls Club Performers and the Charlestown High School Band return to the Park and will present a variety of music. Come out to support these incredible kids and young adults!

Masters of Miniature: Best of the Best!

View the Best of the Best! at our 40th annual Model Ship Show. Attendees will have the opportunity to view the prize winning models from the last 5 years, partake in family activities including a scavenger hunt, learn how to get a ship into a bottle, observe a model ship restoration every Wednesday, and more! The model show is presented by the USS Constitution Museum and the USS Constitution Model Shipwright Guild and is funded in part by the Boston Marine Society.

Commemoration of the 77th Anniversary of the Attack on Pearl Harbor

The National Parks of Boston, USS Constitution Museum, and USS Constitution cordially invite you to commemorate the 77th anniversary of the December 7, 1941 attack on Pearl Harbor. The ceremony will take place adjacent to USS Cassin Young, a Fletcher-class destroyer named for Commander Cassin Young, recipient of the Congressional Medal of Honor for his actions during the attack. We will honor the men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice to protect the United States and those who continue to do so today.

Join the National Park Service, USS Constitution Museum, and USS Constitution in celebrating three birthdays: the U.S. Navy (243rd), “Old Ironsides” (221st), and USS Cassin Young (75th). Participate in hands-on activities for all ages including a Watson Adventures scavenger hunt, watch USS Constitution‘s crewmembers perform boarding pike and gun drills, enjoy birthday cake, and more!
