Fall Festival honoring City Councilor Sal LaMattina

Update: Mayor Walsh will be visting the event at 11:00 am on Sunday morning.

 

Join the Friends of the Charlestown Navy Yard and Charlestown Chamber of Commerce as we honor City Councilor Sal LaMattina for his work representing Charlestown on the Boston City Council.

This is a FREE FAMILY EVENT!

We will have a big screen viewing of the Patriots game and activities for children. 

Light refreshments will be available.

Who is going to somersault in honor of David??!! DISCO FOR DAVID is Back! Smokey Cain will be spinning all your favorite disco songs. Who is ready to dance to support the David M. Whelan Scholarship Fund? Cost per ticket is $25.

In the Yard: Swinging Summer Nights Concert Series with Maddakaya

Join Boston National Historical Park this summer for our Swinging Summer Nights Concert Series every Thursday from June 28 through August 16! All concerts will be on the Commandant’s House Lawn and begin at 6 pm. Food will be available for purchase from local food trucks, but feel free to bring a blanket and picnic! Activities will also be available for our younger visitors during the concert.

A Salute to Maritime Heritage

Come celebrate craft and scholarship at the USS Constitution Museum’s Salute to Maritime Heritage and presentation of the Don Turner and Samuel Eliot Morison Awards on Thursday, August 9, 2018. Join us as our honorees discuss their vital contributions to nautical culture, followed by a reception with hors d’oeuvres, wine and beer. The celebration will conclude as we observe evening colors pierside at 7:53pm.

Meet a Park Ranger over coffee or your favorite beverage! Ask questions and discuss some of the many exciting offerings and stories connected with the National Parks of Boston! A Sailor's Life & Legacy

Celebrate and honor our nation’s veterans at the USS Constitution Museum by asking yourself, “Is a sailor’s life for you?” Learn about the daily struggles that crew members on board “Old Ironsides” faced during the War of 1812 and how their stories continue to inspire people today. Admission to the Museum is FREE throughout the weekend for all military members and their family.
