In honor of Boston's "Love Your Block" initiative, CharlestownDogs has scheduled its next Canine Clean Sweep event for Saturday, April 29th! This popular event involves CharlestownDogs members with their leashed dogs, along with friends and neighbors, dividing into small groups and heading off to various sections of Charlestown to pick up trash, dog waste, and debris. Volunteers are equipped with gloves, trash bags, and trash grabber tools. Participants start at the Bunker Hill Monument, walk along an assigned route, and once their bags are full, they meet at Paul Revere Park where the trash bags are collected and disposed of responsibly. Past events have been well attended by dog owners and non-dog owners alike, and are always fun! They provide a great opportunity to take your dog for a walk, get some exercise, meet some new friends and neighbors, and do good for the sanitation and appearance of our beloved neighborhood. Please invite your friends and neighbors to join you- most routes take well less than an hour to "sweep"!

Meet at the High Street steps to the Bunker Hill Monument at 10:00am. Inform an event organizer of how long of a route you'd like to take. Another event organizer will be present at Paul Revere Park to collect trash when you complete your route.
