Charlestown Lacrosse & Learning Center

After School Programs / Actividades después de la Escuela, Education /Educación, Mentoring / Mentor, Recreation / Recreación, Volunteer Opportunities / Trabajo Voluntario Since the fall of 1997, CLLC has provided educational services, as well as athletic opportunities through the sport of lacrosse, to the youth of Boston. Over the years CLLC has helped youth and adolescents develop into not only successful students, but also contributing members of the community. Our services - which include tutoring, drop-in homework help, a healthy cooking program, reading groups and standardized test preparation - are free of charge and open to the community. The CLLC services over 300 youth through both our Lacrosse programs and our Learning Center. While the Lacrosse program spans K-8th grade, the Learning Center services students from 3rd-12th grade.

Charlestown Youth Football and Cheerleading

Club + Civic Associations / Clubes y Asociaciones cívicas We offer flag football for grades 1-2. A structured 4x4 defence with learning fundamentals of tackle football for grades 3-4 and tackle football for kids in grade 5-8. We also offer cheerleaders the fundamentals of basic cheering to back handsprings. Each child learns how to be on a team and gets the understanding of having a team to fully support you with everything you do. These youth learn that people and other children care about you regardless of race, gender and religion. We strive to make sure that each child leaves our program knowing that they will always have us to fully support them in their life.
