Straight Outta Charlestown: Turn it Around Youth of the Month!

This month's Turn it Around Youth of the Month is Melvin Jones! Melvin joined Turn it Around this past September. In his short time in Turn It Around, Melvin has consistently gone above and beyond. Whether he is helping us set up dinner, cleaning up, volunteering at community events, or just actively participating in meetings,  Melvin is a fantastic addition to our Turn it Around Community! We are so glad that he joined!

"e" inc. Opens its Waterfront Museum in the Charlestown Navy Yard

For the past 4-months, an amazing flurry of activity has gone on at 114 16th Street in Charlestown, as the "e" inc. board and staff, in a partnership with the Chicago Academy of Sciences/Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum, assembled and opened "Weather and Climate: Our Changing World."  One of the first exhibits on climate change focused toward young people, the show will alter how Greater Boston's students and families understand the causes and impacts of Earth's changing climate.

Turn It Around Seeks Donations

Turn it Around members are focused on educating the community on a wide range of public health issues, including addiction and racial and ethnic inequities in health. We also aim to enhance protective factors in youth (i.e. providing positive adult role models, extracurricular opportunities, and service opportunities) proven to reduce maladaptive behaviors in youth, such as substance use and violence.
