Bunker Hill Community College Partners with BEST Hospitality Training

BOSTON, April 25, 2017— A new articulation agreement between Bunker Hill Community College (BHCC) and Boston Education, Skills & Training Corporation (BEST Corp.) links students who excel in hospitality apprenticeships with opportunities for advancement in the field.

House Speaker Robert A. DeLeo to Give Commencement Address at Bunker Hill Community College

House Speaker Robert A. DeLeo will be the keynote speaker at Bunker Hill Community College’s 43rd Commencement exercises, which will take place on May 20, 2017, on the Charlestown Campus.

“We are grateful to Speaker DeLeo for being the College’s long-time partner in improving college completion rates and making higher education more accessible,” said Bunker Hill Community College President Pam Eddinger of Speaker DeLeo.

Adult Volleyball League, Weds nights at the Charlestown Community Center

Want to get in shape, meet new people, and play volleyball? Join the Community Center's co-ed adult volleyball league. Games take place every Wednesday night from 7 - 9 pm. All proceeds benefit the Charlestown YMCA Annual Fund which funds many of the Y programs and services that families in need use every day. Together we can ensure that everyone, regardless of age, income or background has the opportunity to thrive.

Established in 1992, the Smart Choices Program is designed to strengthen the capacity of agencies located in Charlestown to meet the health and human service needs of the community. Over $4 million dollars has been invested in the community since its inception.   

The goal of Smart Choices is to help community based organizations address the health priorities of the community and to work together to increase their impact and reach
