Mayor’s GRAD Last Mile Fund to Benefit Bunker Hill Community College Students

Today, Boston Mayor Martin J. Walsh announced the launch of the GRAD Last Mile Fund, an innovative scholarship program to support students heading into their last semesters at Bunker Hill Community College (BHCC) and four other local colleges.

Launched in partnership with the Frieze Family Foundation, the GRAD Last Mile Fund will provide up to $2,500 to students for whom financial hardships are a barrier to cover non-academic costs such as transportation, rent and child and medical care. Candidates must be Boston residents and have demonstrated financial need.

Bunker Hill Community College Ranks Ninth in the Nation for Racial and Ethnic Diversity

Bunker Hill Community College (BHCC) was named one of the “Colleges with the Greatest Racial and Ethnic Diversity” by The Chronicle of Higher Education. The list appeared within the publication’s Almanac of Higher Education 2018-19, an annual data report showcasing best in class for enrollment, completion, research and diversity.

Bunker Hill Community College Receives $2.4M in Private Grant Funding for Early College Programs

The Richard and Susan Smith Family Foundation awarded $2.4 million to Bunker Hill Community College (BHCC) to establish the Early College program at BHCC, marking the largest private grant awarded in the College’s history.
